Sensational 1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible
The next classic in our Fairfield showroom is this very impressive 1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown 2 Door Convertible with Oyster White exterior paint and a two-tone black/white vinyl interior. You'll find the factory correct 413 cid V-8 engine under the hood with the matching Torqueflite automatic transmission and this highly-optioned example also includes air conditioning, power steering and power brakes with a brand new black power convertible top, the factory owner's manual and the original spare tire. This is a stunning classic and is only one of 554 total examples ever built- you'll certainly want to see it in person as soon as possible.
Highly Original & One of Only 554 Examples Ever Produced
This 1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible remained with the original owner for most of its life and it was passed to his son in the early 2000's. The current owner purchased it back in 2008 and he informs us that he has extensive documentation dating back to when it first sold in Sacramento, California. The factory-correct 413 V-8 engine with 340 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque is still in place as well, along with the matching automatic transmission and most of the factory accessories.
The motor of this 1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible is a healthy and stout runner. The current owner has refurbished the power top mechanisms and has replaced the top itself. The only other modification is the updated upholstery (changed from brown to white/black two tone). The rest of this stunningly rare classic has been unmolested and, aside from a couple things here and there, is a true survivor.
Additionally, this ultra-rare 1962 Chrysler Imperial Crown Convertible shows very nicely in person with only slight levels of wear. The body lines are sensational with above average chrome and nice exterior paint.
