2014 Yamaha VMAX. Yamaha got it right when they designed this
1,679cc V4 rocket for the road. They managed to take the same
horsepower as a new Honda Civic and cram it between the 2 wheels of
this high performance machine. That's 174 horsepower available at
the twist of the wrist. Safety wasn't forgotten; this bike comes
with adjustable front and rear suspension as well as a slipper
clutch and ABS. Power is delivered via a 5 speed transmission and a
shaft drive to a massive 200mm rear tire. Brembo brakes with dual
disc in the front and single in the rear bring this 683 lb beast to
a halt with ease. A 30.5" seat height give a commanding view of the
road and the bar height keeps the rider in a good position between
sport and touring. Although the 4 gallon tank and large side air
intakes make it look top heavy, the center of gravity is kept low
to improve handling. This bike is just as comfortable carving the
twistys as is it opening up the throttle on a straight stretch of
highway. If you're looking for a high horsepower muscle bike that
still has nice street manners, this is the machine. With only 860
