This beautiful car was sold new in 1964 from the doors of Bradford
Chevrolet in Clayton, Missouri which, back in the day, was one of
the largest and most prestigious Corvette dealers in the United
States. Thankfully when it was purchased, the sales invoice and
original letter of appreciation were tucked neatly away prior to
leaving, as they are with the car now, and will go to the new owner
upon delivery.
It is powered by the original RPO (L76) 327 cubic inch,
365-horsepower engine that is coupled with a close-ratio 4-speed
transmission that directs both wheels evenly to the pavement
through the Posi-traction rear-end. Of course, the entire original
drive-train has always been regularly serviced and maintained, but
recently also has been completely gone through prior to being
offered for sale. As such, the engine bay and entire chassis were
recently restored and detailed to standards by the Chev Connection
in Portland, Oregon.
The exterior maintains its factory Daytona Blue that has always
been well-cared for while the car was garaged for the course of its
existence. The convertible top has been meticulously replaced to
match, and exceed, factory specifications in the same nicely
contrasting tan color as it originally had. The car sits on its own
15"X6" steel wheels with factory spinner hubcaps, and like-new
Kumho rolling stock. Inside, the interior is absolutely beautiful,
and just as it would have been circa 1964. It is in excellent
condition from top to bottom with an AM/FM radio, full gauge
package and Daytona Blue seats to match the paint outside of the
car. This is an extremely rare factory heater delete car.
