The story of this Model A was it was built in California in 1997
and delivered to owner in Florida. It replicates an actual
Speedster that the owners dad raced when he owned a Ford dealership
in Troy, Ohio in the 1920s. "The procedure at the time was to
remove the body and all other nonessentials to shed weight, the
lower the frame by using a drop axle, install bucket seats, and
relocate the gas tank to the rear to help balance the car. The
engine was "sooped up" with headers and straight exhaust, lighter
flywheel, "shaving" the head, downdraft carb, and a HOT cam." In
"the day", these cars would be driven to the races, thus lights and
horn. This car was resotred with a 12 volt alternator and solenoid
starter. It has car show plagues from many shows in the Daytona
Beach arear and still in show condition. Runs and drives good and
is fater than you probably want it to go. It is out of a private
Modal A Collector estate, a must see to believe. FOR MORE DETAILS
