Jaguar S-Type R 4,2 l Supercharged for sale.
Short history
I bought this car during spring 2011 from a Jaguar dealership located in Beverly Hills, USA. The car had come to this dealer from it’s first owner.
First registration in USA 16.2.2004. Registered in Finland 15.2.2011.
Mileage 107.000 miles.
This car became my summer car right from the beginning; it’s use has been very light and only during summer time.
Modifications, repairs and new parts
The car has been re-painted in spring 2015 to it’s original Aspen Green pearl (Car paint shop Jukka & Hytti, Lappeenranta, Finland)
The chassis has been completely redone;
- Original open differential has been changed to Quaife torque sensitive limited slip differential from TL Jaguar. Driveshafts has been serviced with new rubber parts and Red Line grease. Wheel hubs, uprights, wheel bearings, lower- and upper A-arms, tie rods, tie rod ends, sway bar ends and bushings has been changed also.
- Complete overhaul for the front suspension; new wheel hubs, uprights, wheel bearings, lower- and upper A-arms, tie rods, tie rod ends, sway bar ends and bushings.
- Suspension lowered 1,5 ” with H & R coil spring set. New Bilstein shock absorbers (speed sensitive).
- All new braking system; new steel braided brake hoses, discs, brake pads. New emergency brake servo motor.
- Original S-Type R 18” wheels (Zeus) has been reworked; checked for straightness (L-Weld Oy, Lappeenranta), and painted dark gray metallic. New wheel center decals.
- Finikor-antirust treatment for the body.
- New tires (Continental 245/40ZR18, 275/35ZR18 ) driven approx. 3000 km.
Driveline upgrades and service work:
- Original engine overhauled during winter 2016-2017: cylinder heads machined for straightness, valve job, new guides, valve springs, porting.
- K&N air filter, free flowing intake. Plenum, intake manifold, supercharger, exhaust manifolds ported and polished.
- EGR-valve delete.
- Engine intake, supercharger and exhaust manifolds coated with ceramic coating.
- Supercharger; new bearings, coated rotors, smaller drive pulley.
- injectors serviced and cleaned.
- All new engine sensors, injector wiring looms, gaskets, electric water pumps, air conditioning magnetic valve, waterpump and complete rubber hose set.
- New radiator tunnel with electric fans.
- Evans waterless coolant.
- New engine ECU.
- Original ZF 6HP26 transmission + torque converter completely overhauled during spring 2017 (Recro).
- New rubber elements and joints for drive shaft.
- The exhaust system is one-off (Martelius Exhaust) 2,5” stainless steel system, including Magnaflow High Flow cathalytic converters and custom silencers.
New miscellanous parts:
- Inner wheel well plastics (front + rear).
- Windshield.
- Rear view mirror lenses.
- R-badges on front fenders and deck lid.
- Inner chromed door handles + lots of other small parts for the interior.
- Battery.
- Xenon-light bulbs and ignitors.
- Under dash air conditioning step motors 4 pc.
- Indicator switch.
- Stereo system loudspeakers changed for high quality ones + added trebble for the doors. Original cd-player and disc changer.
- Loads of new plastic fasteners throughout the car.
- New alternator bearings and belt.
All changed parts are Jaguar original parts, ordered from British Parts, UK.
Over 25.000€ invested in parts and labor.
The car is almost flawless.
