The third generation El Camino began production in 1968 and
continued through 1972. Bowtie folks consider these models to be
the 'Best of Breed' when it comes to looks and performance. This
fully restored (2007) 1972 El Camino SS is a solid example of this
classic model. The detailed restoration is accented by an abundance
of chrome components in the engine compartment and on the
undercarriage/suspension. The current owner states that this El
Camino is a true SS model. (Note: In '71 and '72, the SS option was
an appearance option, not a performance option.) The professional
Cranberry Red respray is accented by black SS strips and the cowl
induction hood is stunning. A custom fitted bed mat protects the
bed floor. The distinctive black vinyl interior was totally redone
- seats, dash, door cards and headliner all in excellent condition.
It features cold A/C, SS gauge package, power tinted windows, power
locks, tilt wheel and an AM/FM stereo system. The El Camino is
powered by a 350ci small block fitted with a 4-barrel carb and
stainless tube headers. It is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox
w/Hurst Comp+ shifter. As stated earlier, the undercarriage is as
stunning as the body. Suspension features include power steering,
power disc/drum brakes (w/dual master), coil-over shocks and 15"
factory S/S wheels that mount Goodyear Eagle GT radials. The
differential is a factory 12-bolt unit with street gearing. If you
are looking for a classic GEN3 El Camino, come drive this beauty -
it just may just end up in your garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
