As the last of the breed, the BJ8's benefited from all the updates
and improvements made over the production years, featuring gorgeous
burl wood dashes, roll up windows, full weather protection,
improved road clearance, and other refinements. Aside from the
model characteristics, this BJ8 is truly remarkable. It is a fully
documented example whose owner treasured the car for over 51 years,
after having purchased it as a year old car at Continental Cars in
Florissant, Missouri, in June of 1967. With its 51-year-long owner
being a true Austin Healey aficionado and club member, this big
Healey received proper servicing and attending to. The car never
fell derelict and was always properly cared for and exercised. This
car has never been taken apart and put back together again but
lovingly maintained and refreshed as needed. It had one high
quality respray a few years ago in its original Old English White
at which time the contrasting bronze cove color was added. The
paint still presents very well today. It has also had a new top
top, chrome wire wheels and interior freshening where needed using
correct materials. Drive-wise, the car is simply excellent. She
makes great power, sounds fabulous, and handles as designed. This
then, presents an opportunity to acquire a very original BJ8 that
has only had what was needed to maintain it cosmetically and
mechanically to a high standard. On the 30th of March we ran a
compression test and all 6 cylinders are perfect (around 155psi
which is validated on the photos included) Please call or text Mike
