With it's debut at the 1967 British Motor show, the Mark II Austin Mini, quickly became a hit. Popular with film and music stars and celebrities of that era, it went on to become the iconic symbol of 1960's British pop culture. The 1967 Mark II featured the softer ride of the hydro elastic suspension, that classic (Mr Bean) front grill, and a wonderfully smooth operating 4 speed manual transmission. A relatively small number of left hand drive models were imported into the US in 1967 before changes in import requirements closed the door.
This beautiful example shows a perfectly straight body, classic interior with wood panel dash, and perfect glass. The roof is painted in the recognizable Union Jack pattern. It has just finished a complete front to back mechanical sorting with everything inspected and repaired as necessary, to make it problem free and completely reliable. And this means everything!!
