Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Chicago is super excited to offer for sale
a great piece of American History. This 1931 Model A Phaeton Ford
Replica was built in 1967 by Glassic Motor Company. They took the
classic design of the Model A and made it into a fiberglass replica
with the reliability of a more modern engine. The car was original
purchased by Former Vice President and United States Senator Hubert
H. Humphrey. He used this car in many parades and public
appearances that he made during his political career. Around 2006
his family donated the car to Courage Center a non-profit Physical
rehab facility in Golden Valley Minnesota, Mr. Humphrey's home
state. From here the car was auctioned off for charity and bought
and sent to Vermont. Where it stayed until 2015 when it was sold to
the now current owner in Illinois. This fiberglass replica is
powered by straight 4 International scout engine paired to a 3
speed manual transmission. It sports the factory red and black
paint with a clean Black and white leather interior. The white
convertible top was recently replaced and is in good condition. The
rear has an added luggage case for extra storage. It has working
blinkers and headlights and is ready to stroll down the road as a
wonderful piece of history! For more information regarding this
