The chrome trim is liberally applied from front to back including trim along the hood, each side, and topping each fin. Perhaps the most recognizable American design feature: the fin, made it's debut in 1948 by Cadillac. The fins stuck around and hit their peak of style in 1960. Projecting from each rear tailfin is a set of two bullet shaped tail lights. These lights have been used by hot rodders and custom motorcycle builders for their unique yet recognizable look.
