The Red interior and exterior show how good this MG has been cared for over the years. It is a survivor and in near original condition with the original numbers matching engine. That is about as good as you may find in an example of an original MG TC. Twin SU- semi-down draught carburetors, 1250cc 4 cylinders and 54.4hp at 5200rmp put you right in the middle of what it means to drive. The restoration took 6 painstaking years to complete. The wood frame is in great shape. This TC is a real head-turner. There are tons of documentation to go along with the purchase. It was quite like the pre-war TB, sharing the same 1,250 cc pushrod-OHV engine with a slightly higher compression ratio of 7.4:1 giving 54.5 bhp at 5200rpm. The MG TC was exported to the United States, even though only ever built in right-hand drive. The export version had slightly smaller US specification sealed-beam headlights and larger twin rear lights, as well as turn signals and chrome-plated front and rear bumpers. The body was approximately 4 inches wider than the TB and measured at the rear of the doors to give more cockpit space. The tachometer was directly in front of the driver, while the speedometer was on the other side of the dash in front of the passenger. Options include Bias ply tires, leather interior, wire wheels, and a convertible manual top.
