Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to offer for sale this
1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. The Chevelle is an all-around American
muscle car and loved by so many still today. The '71 model is
distinguished from its earlier '70 model by the single head lights,
versus the dual lights found on the 1970 Chevelle. The beauty is
powered by the numbers-matching 454 CID V8 (LS5) and rips through
the powerband with the 4-speed manual transmission (M22). Both the
engine and transmission were rebuilt roughly 3,000 miles ago
leaving the car with many years of life to go. This Chevelle also
features 3.73 gears which is a happy medium for those with a heavy
foot and those who desire the weekend cruise. To monitor the
performance a bit closer, some Stewart Warner gauges were installed
as well. With all this power, stopping is critical so to ensure you
can come to a halt there are front disc brakes with drums in the
rear. The interior has been nicely re-upholstered and in great
shape. The black vinyl doesn't stray too far from the originality
of the car and shows well. You also have the upgraded stereo system
which includes AM/FM Radio, so you can rock out to some Steppenwolf
when you head out on the highway. Other options include: Original
build sheet, power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, rally
wheels, and seat belts. For more information on this 1971 Chevrolet
