Gateway Classic Cars of Houston is proud to present this 1999
Pontiac Trans Am. This is not your typical TA as it has undergone a
significant amount of work under the hood and ready to run. Keep a
very clean original look, this car will certainly sneak up on you
and then blow the doors off when you least expect it. This TA does
feature the original block however nearly everything else has been
changed but for the better in the aspect of performance. The motor
has been built up into a 6.3L Stroker with roughly 1750 miles on it
since completion. The block prep was done at Doucet Motorsports,
and the short block then assembled at Raging Racing in which we can
provide photos of the block torn down upon request. During the
initial dyno run in period, this car came in at 615HP/610TQ on
which was used for tuning purposes. The current HP after some miles
have been put on it is unknown, but should certainly be a bit
higher with the break in. Some of the goodies hidden under this
beast include: o Air Flow Research Mongoose aluminum heads with PAC
racing springs o Wiseco Pistons o Callies Crank Shaft o APR Head
studs o Custom ground cam @ 113 lobe separation angle o Compstar
connecting rods o P-1SC ProCharger with dual high flow intercoolers
o New A/C that blows nice and cold o New Power steering pump New
water pump o New alternator o Textrailia clutch and flywheel o Tic
Performance Master and slave cylinder o Lakewood Driveshaft loop o
Hooker long tube headers o Off-road Y pipe o Subframe connectors o
Custom built throttle body plenum o Victor Jr intake This car is
what I would qualify as a solid sleeper. The interior even remains
very original with not many major changes. With more performance,
you naturally need to monitor things more closely. With that a
wideband 02 digital gauge, electronic fuel pressure gauge, and
boost gauge were added. When going out on a longer drive, you want
to be able to hear yourself think so fresh Dynomat was installed
throughout the interior to block out some of the noise. A Viper
alarm system was also installed and feature a remote start
sequence. Lastly new tires have just been added to this beautiful
TA so you have plenty of rubber to burn on those weekends heading
out to your local car meet. More information may be provided upon
