Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars is excited to present this sexy 1992 Chevrolet
Camaro Z28 Indianapolis Pace Car in our Milwaukee Showroom. The
Chevrolet Camaro started its awesome run in 1967 and still in
production today except for a short lapse from 2003 to 2010.
Introduced as General Motors answer to the Ford Mustang. Over five
million Camaros have been built since its inception, spanning to
the present sixth generation model. This 1982 Camaro is a 3rd
generation model, which ran from 1982-1992. The 3rd generation
model was built on the F-body and the first to feature a hatchback
body style. One look at this Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Indianapolis Pace
Car and one understands why it was Motor Trends car of the year for
1992. Which lend to an astonishing 173,000 units sold. The Z28 is
recognizable by a different front nose, 3-piece rear spoiler and
front/side/ and rear body valances. Head lamp pockets were also
painted black. Our 1992 Indianapolis Pace Car is one of 6,000
built. The edition included two-tone silver/ blue paint and special
graphics, with a matching interior appointed six- way Leur-Seigler
manually adjustable front bucket seats. Silver five spoke cast
aluminum wheels with an orange pinstripe finish the Indianapolis
500 package. Under the hood is a 350 5.0L V-8 engine attached to a
speed transmission. Options include T-tops. Power steering, power
brakes, tilt wheel, power locks, air conditioning, and a AM/FM/CD
radio. No time like the present to own a piece of American history.
