produced by Chevrolet in 1959-60, then resumed from 1964-1987.
Built on the Chevelle platform until 1977, then built on the G-body
platform until the end of the run in 1987. This particular car is
the last year they were made. Still has all the utility and style
you could ask for. Gm shifted production to Mexico in 1985. The
fuel-injected 4.3L V6 became the base engine, but this car has the
5.0L 305 V8. This engine pairs perfectly with a 3-speed
Turbo-Hdyramatic transmission. Simple 80's styling throughout with
the silver exterior and the maroon cloth interior. El Caminos are a
very unique vehicle. Half car, half truck, but all the way cool.
