Marquis was nearing the end of its second-generation body style
which had started 8 years earlier in 1969. The imposing front
grille that resembles Lincoln Continental models from the same era
makes this Marquis, painted in "Medium Yellow" with a White Landau
top, recognizable and check out those headlight covers too- so
70's! Ford's 460 CID V8 engine is the powerplant under the hood on
this 1977 Mercury. With a 4-bbl carburetor, it achieved an
estimated 197hp and 353lb ft of torque on this very car when brand
new and has only traveled 70,000 actual miles since then. Getting
this cruiser through the gears is a Ford C6 3-speed automatic
transmission with the shifter located on the column. The inside of
this Marquis Brougham is equally impressive as the rest of the car
and the cushy "Graham Cracker" colored cloth seats look barely
touched. Options such as seat belts, power windows, cruise control
