RESERVE. Check out this 1992 Lotus Esprit SE Turbo High Wing
brought to you by Zoom Classic Cars. This exceptional and gorgeous
exotic beauty was one of 172 built in 1992 with only 12 imported to
North America. None were imported to the US. The car is in
excellent condition and has been meticulously maintained and always
stored in heated storage by the owner. Originally purchased in 1992
by the Sales Manager from the Weissach Lotus dealership in British
Columbia Canada and then acquired in the US by the current owner in
2016. The current owner completely rebuilt the engine and has
driven it less than 1000 miles since the rebuild. This Lotus is
powered by a 2.2-liter dual overhead cam, turbocharged 4-cylinder
engine that produces an estimated 264hp at 6,500 rpm. The strong
engine is mated nicely to its smooth shifting 5-speed manual
transmission. The exterior of this vehicle is silver and has a
brand new black leather interior. The interior features a
wraparound driver\'s-side dash that has full VDO instrumentation
and wood grain details. The car also has its factory alloy wheels
with "Lotus" cast into one of the five spokes of each. Standard
equipment includes power steering, power windows, air conditioning
and premium AM/FM stereo. The dramatic and instantly recognizable
High Wing spoiler is seamlessly integrated into the styling, and a
glass roof adds to the Esprit's driving pleasure. It is reported
that only 625 Lotus Esprit SE Turbos were ever produced from
1992-1996 and only a few SE models built in 1992 were equipped with
the optional sunroof. All of the Esprits were built by hand one at
a time. This particular car has had a complete Frame on restoration
since purchased by current owner including a complete engine
removal, rebuild and re-install by Reid's Automotive of Whitman MA
and Aston Martin-Lotus of Waltham MA. The engine overhaul included
the following: guides, rings, liners, main bearings, Rod bearings,
complete valve job, resurfaced flywheel, and all necessary machine
work. In addition new mounts and all ancillaries were replaced or
rebuilt including Oil pumps and rotors, water pump, thermostat and
gaskets, Fuel injectors, primary and secondary, fuel pump. cooler
pump rebuilt, new Hose sets, fuel, water, heater, all gaskets top
and bottom, Timing belt and tension bearings, alternator and belts,
A/C compressor, belts, Plugs, wires, and coil packs, ECM and ECU,
new battery and new Garrett T-3 Turbo rebuilt by "Turbonetics". Air
boxes were refurbished, Gas tank cleaned, new vent hoses and new
fuel sender installed. Other work included New SS header by
"Alunox" and Ceramic coated by "Jet Hot", New SS dual outlet
Exhaust. With new Cat installed and Cat delete pipe available with
purchase, Clutch, pressure plate, spigot bearing, Gear box and
transmission gone through, new boots and bushings, Axle bearings
and seals, shifter rebuilt and new bushings.Exterior work completed
included new tail light assembly, Front spoiler refinished and
re-painted, new marker light bezels and new sunroof buffers.
Interior Work included new pedal pads, Interior carpet stripped,
added Dynamat, new pad and leather trimmed Wool carpet from
"Coverdale". Seats and console fully re-upholstered, trunk area
re-carpeted, exterior B pillar trim re-done, new seat belt
assembly, new Sony Stereo head unit, Panasonic power with JL audio
C5-650x and AudioFrog GB-40 speakers. The car rides on new tires
with 7/15/2016 Hankook Ventus V2 345/50/16s on the rear and
204/50/15s in frontThe Lotus brand stands alone as highly
