Coupe. The Ford Deluxe was first introduced in 1937 and was
produced for only 4 model years ending in 1940. This very desirable
generation of Ford coupes with its stunning body lines and full
fenders is one of the most popular vehicles for "Hot-Rodding" still
to this day. This 1940 Ford is a great cruiser having plenty of
power with the 327 cubic inch V8 and is very fun to drive with the
TH 350 automatic transmission that operates great which is no
surprise with the overall condition of this hot rod. The color
combination couldn't be any better a high gloss black paint laid
down over an all-steel body is perfectly offset by the brilliant
chrome trim, bumpers, and grille and the gray interior compliments
the exterior very well. As you sit in the driver's seat you will
notice that the beautiful gray interior has been reupholstered and
restored throughout having a vinyl bench seat, tit wheel, custom
stereo system, and the updated gauge cluster completes the look.
Look under the hood and you will see that the engine compartment
was not overlooked, polished parts throughout include Edelbrock
valve covers and carb, polished alternator and bracket, master
cylinder and various polished parts to complete the finished look.
