Gateway Classic Cars is honored to offer this 1972 Volkswagen
Beetle in our Indianapolis showroom. While this is not going to be
the most powerful car, it is the people's car. The VW Beetle saw
popularity here in the United States from 1965-1974. This car and
its big brother the micro bus were iconic symbols of the counter
culture movement in the late 60's. This little beetle sports a
1600cc/60HP air cooled engine mated to a 4 speed manual
transmission. What makes this car unique is this was imported from
Australia, and its right-hand drive! The VW is all original (except
for paint) with 85,598 miles on it. The exterior paint has been
done in DuPont honey brown with the classic. Interior design see's
it an original shape, black vinyl and cream door cards. The car
comes standard with AF/FM radio, independent rear suspension, heat,
radial tires and the original spare and jack! Be sure to visit our
