EXTREMELY RARE and sought after FACTORY 5 SPEED 4.0 6 cyl XJS CONVERTIBLE.
This example scored 999.6 out of 1000 at the April Jaguar of North America Concours D'Elegance,this is an exceptional piece.
The original owner passed several years ago,it was left sitting.The family chose to sell after it was given to a Jaguar specialist to sort and get the car in good running order.Car lived in Florida,hence the exceptional undercarriage condition.
The car comes with the aforementioned score sheet,award,original window sticker,clean Carfax,books,manuals,and tools as well as top boot.
I am a 40 plus year purveyor,collector,and driver of Jaguar cars.My first impression upon driving this example was that the 5 speed gearbox married to the 4.0 6 cyl engine heightened the Jaguar experience.One can really feel the Jaguar heritage when driving the 5 speed.I love the 6 cyl XJS but the 5 speed gear box is a total game changer.The manual puts the fun back into the Jaguar driving experience.
This car is stunning in every way,both cosmetically and mechanically.
The car is very collectible and should go into a collection,it is rare and exceptional.
