Gateway Classic of Atlanta is excited to offer this 1978 Pontiac
Trans Am Gold Edition w/ T-Tops. The consignor states this car to
be a numbers matching, complete rotisserie restored example with
just 1,300-miles since completed. She was gifted with the
restoration from 2013-2014, and comes with a binder of photos and
documentation! The Y88 Gold Edition package was available only for
1978, and specified a Special Edition gold paint job with Firebird
graphics, gold styling cues throughout, as well as Brown
pinstriping, and a higher-output version of the Pontiac 400 engine.
To actually see the body on the rack, and see the detail that went
into this car - takes it to the next level! The 2-stage paint shows
very well, with all new emblems, and trim, which just take her to
the next level! The 6.6L (400ci) Pontiac V8 is the L78 variant,
rated at 185 horsepower from the factory and featuring a shaker
scoop and dual exhaust. The transmission is GM's durable 3-speed
Turbo-Hydramatic, and the car is optioned with a Saf-T-Track
limited-slip differential. The Camel vinyl interior literally looks
new, it's that well done! The same holds true for the detailing in
the engine bay, and trunk. Options include; power steering, power
brakes, a/c, T-tops, power windows, tilt wheel, cruise control,
mini spare, factory mags, w/ B F Goodrich radial T/A's P225/70R15
