A beautiful Southern car, sold by us to neighbors in Connecticut, always garaged and little used. Excellent rust free floor and chassis, excellent body with 'like new' Flame Red paint. Not a scratch or dent anywhere. And with all new chrome.
Very good interior and top (and we can dye the interior in a light colored contrasting color, excellent wiring and electrics, new alternator, oil cooler, nicely prepared.
Our tests....175-180 psi compression in every cylinder, 65-70 psi oil pressure when warm, zero smoke, and unusually quick....no idea why, could have a higher lift rally cam and/or a higher compression ratio. Dunno. But it flies............
Has wire wheels, wood dash, stereo, spotless trunk (no rust in the trunk floor), and as a 1973, sufficiently old to have chrome bumpers, sufficiently new to have one of the nicest dashboards, twin SUs for power, dual circuit brakes, all synchromesh trans, an excellent compromise between 'old' and 'new' in an MGB.
Recent work done: new brake calipers, new fuel lines, new master cylinder, a sweet little, drive anywhere car. Want a/c? No problem. Want a powerful supplemental heater for a cold weather environment, in stock. Convert to chrome wire wheels? Sure. A great all season, fun to drive classic.
