The Chevelle ran from 1964 until 1977, but none were as sought
after as the big block Super Sports. We have a great real-deal vin
# 138, 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS here at Adventure Classics with
the addition of a 454 cubic inch modified engine mated to a 4-speed
transmission. What more could you want?
Engine & Drivetrain
Our Chevelle SS has a much modified 454 cubic inch block with
high-performance heads. This monster motor under the hood has an
Edelbrock Performer intake, Holley performance 4-barrel carburetor,
HEI distributor, MSD ignition and performance spark plug wires,
large tube headers, performance fuel lines and spark plug wires,
Moroso chrome valve covers and open element air cleaner, redone
radiator, shiny alternator, new clutch, and performance braided
lines.
All the power that is generated is sent to the performance
Posi-Traction rear end via the Richmond Manual 4-Speed manual
transmission and 4-Wheel Disc Brakes provide the stopping
power.
Interior
The inside of our SS has a black vinyl interior with twin bucket
seats, matching rear seat, center console that houses the 4-speed
on the floor through a Hurst shifter with a white ball, with all
the correct factory gauges as well as accessory gauges too.
The interior is in great condition with its black carpet, seat
belts, door panels and headliner well kept, SS steering wheel, and
a Chevrolet logo AM/FM radio lets you crank up the tunes while you
cruise the streets.
Exterior
Our Chevelle has a great two-tone black over BLACK CHERRY METALLIC
paint gives it the look with the cowl hood and hood pins and Cragar
SS mag wheels wrapped in Firestone black wall tires.
It has all the SS emblems, SS grill, Super Sport script on the body
panels, chrome sport mirror, dual exhaust, and very clean body
lines that give it that great SS look.
