Calling all Starsky & Hutch fans! Gateway Classic Cars of Fort
Lauderdale has got your car! This cool 1974 tribute to the TV car
has the 351 Cleveland motor, 3-speed automatic transmission and
67,150 miles on it. It really plays the part with a siren, PA
system, and magnetic police light to mount to roof! You could have
a LOT of fun with this conversation piece. Starsky & hutch aired
from April 1975, to May 1979. The 2-tone black-red vinyl interior
is in very nice shape and looks great. A bit of history: Due to the
success of Starsky & Hutch, in 1976 (the Torino's final year) Ford
released a limited edition (only 1,305 units total, plus three
pilot production cars) Starsky and Hutch replica Gran Torino.
Manufactured at the Chicago plant, one of these code "PS 122" units
was leased by Spelling-Goldberg from the middle of season two until
the series' end as a second backup for the main cars and was known
simply as "Unit 129". It was originally equipped with a 351
Modified (also VIN code "H") ; however, during filming, one of the
stuntmen damaged the engine beyond repair, and it was replaced
overnight with a 429 Lima V8. Don't miss your opportunity to own a
piece of American Icon TV history in our Ft. Lauderdale Showroom.
