1979 Fiat Spider 57,700 miles. Original 1995cc engine, and 5 spd manual transmission. Runs, drives and looks great. I purchased it from the original owner approximately 18 months ago, it had been stored in a garage, under a tarp in Wickenburg, Arizona for approximately 20 years.
Since then I have replaced belts, hoses, gaskets, steering bushings, rebuilt carburetor, water pump, alternator, (60 amp) distributor, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump, ignition switch, rotor cap, and much of the electrical wiring, master cylinder, brakes and rotors, brake compensatory pressure regulator, shocks, and probably some things I'm forgetting.
It has new paint, the original color, red leather interior, with no rips or tears. All the gauges and lights work, including the power windows. The top has no tears and works perfectly. No cracks in the rear window.
No rust, and it really runs great. Have the original owner's manual and red leather cover for when the top is retracted. Also have receipts for the work done since I have owned it.
