Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1971
Mercedes Benz 280SL Convertible. This car has been in the same
family since new and only has 65,959 documented original miles!
Powering this 280SL is the original numbers matching inline
6-cylinder engine with multi-port fuel injection and mated to the
factory 4-speed automatic transmission. The Mercedes-Benz 280sl
(model W113) is a two-seat roadster/coupe, introduced in 1968, and
produced from 1968 through 1971. It replaced the 250 SL. Of the
23,885 W113 280 SLs produced, more than half were sold in the US.
The comparatively short and wide chassis, combined with an
excellent suspension, powerful brakes, and radial tires gave the W
113 superb handling for its time. This 280SL comes with both a
painted black hard top and black manual soft-top. The soft top was
replaced in 2005 and is in great shape still. A highly desirable
classic, this Mercedes convertible is in good condition throughout
and runs and drives excellent, especially considering it is a
survivor! With The top down summer days will be enjoyed in comfort
and style. The beautiful bright white gloss paint is good quality
and the color really stands out in a crowd. This classic Mercedes
roadster retains its original configuration with its extremely
straight body panels, character, and charm. The options on this
1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL include: Air conditioning, AM/FM radio,
manual convertible soft top, hardtop, hub caps, leather interior,
seat belts, and so much more! Do not let this one pass you by. This
