family owned since new! This '56 Century Wagon is truly a rare find
and is in excellent overall condition. It has been re-painted in
its original factory colors, "Carlsbad Black" on the roof,
"Seminole Red" and "Dover White" for the body. Roughly $3,000 spent
on recent cosmetic, chrome and paint work. It is equipped with its
original red and ivory vinyl interior (Code 605). The interior is
in original condition which exception of the center sections of the
front and rear seats which have been recovered along with $3,000
recently invested in new carpets/rugs. All four door inner trim
panels are in very good original condition. Front and rear bench
style seats in very good condition.
The dash assembly is complete with original factory gauges and is
in excellent condition. The car's original factory steering wheel
is also in very good condition. - The original factory stainless
side moldings are securely fastened and have an excellent
appearance. The left and right fenders are in excellent original
condition with the exception of a couple of minor dings in the left
fender. The fenders are complete with their original factory
brightwork manual mirrors and four oval ventiports per fender. All
four doors are in excellent original condition with no visible
signs of repair or prior work. There is some slight surface rust
along the inner lower lips of all four doors. All doors open and
close properly showing no hinge wear. The outer door handles are
all in good working order and in very good condition. The rear
doors are equipped with their correct factory brightwork "Century"
nameplates which are securely fastened and damage free. Upper
stainless belt moldings, stainless upper moldings, left and right
rocker panels and quarter panels all in excellent condition.
The rear tailgate has a damage free appearance. The gate is
complete with its original factory ornamentation. Tail lamps are in
good working order and are complete with brightwork bezels. The
rear chrome plated bumper is complete and has a damage free
appearance. -The hood panel has an excellent appearance and
releases properly from its outside handle. The hood ornamentation
and the "Buick" letters are in very good condition. The car is
equipped with a two seal beam headlamp system which is in good
working order. The seal beams fitted with brightwork bezels have an
excellent damage free appearance. The grille, complete with its
correct factory ornamentation has an excellent appearance. The
front chrome plated bumper assembly is complete and in good overall
condition. The all-steel roof panel is in excellent original
condition.
All glass is original factory fitted clear safety plate and has an
excellent damage free appearance with the exception of a few minor
scratches. The car is equipped with a two blade wiper system which
is in good working order. This '56 Buick Century Wagon is equipped
with a matched set of four "Coker Classic" four-ply polyester
wide-whitewall tires size H78-15.
