The total nuts and bolts rotisserie restoration was completed by the Ramshead artisans in Sacramento, California. A spectacular original brilliant paint job, all trim and chrome was refinished back to as new quality. This car won the Ramshead Car of Month Award and the "Concours de' Elegance People's Choice Award." The Monterey Model was factory equipped with all the top line options: POWER WINDOWS POWER BRAKES POWER STEERING POWER TOP All power equipment works flawlessly with new motors wires and fused circuits. All the lights are now 12v powered by six Optima Batteries continually refreshed by a Genius Trickle Charger. It has a brand new 1957 Ford Thunderbird 312 CI Y Block producing dyno recorded 278 HP at 5500 RPM. The engine delivers power through a new GM 700R 4 speed with overdrive, Turbo Hydromatic transmission. It is a mating made in heaven. Smooth shifting. The Thunderbird engine gets its breath through an Edelbrock four-barrel electric choke carburetor on top of a Mummert intake manifold. Pertronix Electronic ignition, Flame Thrower coil. We solved the classic 312 overheating with a beautiful 6 blade Flex-a-lite Fan and a perfect fitting aluminum shroud. New mechanical water temperature gauge never over 140 degrees. Dual mellow exhaust system with a Silver Ceramic Coating lowering engine compartment temperature and improved corrosion resistance. Ceramic coating goes all the way back to the exhaust manifolds. Beautiful. Suspension includes a new Mustang II front suspension Viking Performance adjustable front coil over shocks, front disc brakes, and new rear shocks. New Diamond Back Radials Front 215/75R/15 Rear 235/75R/15. < 100 miles-large white walls. Beautiful straight ride just like being on tracks. This vehicle was not built to a predetermined price. All the parts and pieces were the finest available to build a fine, as new car. We have paid invoices totaling over $200K. All available including dyno graphs in the photo section.
