Restoration.
No expense spared restoration, This is a wood Chassis MARCOS , one of ~ 250 Wood Chassis cars built before 1969 and one ~75 GT 1500’s , the construction is an aircraft style wood monocoque wrapped in a fiberglass body. The car is very light to begin with and during restoration additional weight saving measures were taken. Performs great on the road and looks good a show. Under 1000 miles since restoration completed just enough to work out the quirks.
History -
Two Previous owners the second owner bought the car in the UK circa 1968. Second owner used the car in the UK, Europe and then in the US where is was used in Texas and Wisconsin before being taken off the road in 1978 and then put into long term storage ultimately finding its way to a barn on the upper peninsula of Michigan. Current owner secured the car from the UP and had it transported to Georgia in the USA.
