Gateway Classic Cars of Detroit is proud to offer this superb 1971
Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme for sale. The 1971 model shared much of
the same exterior Sheetmetal as the 1970, but with a new hood,
grille, and headlight assemblies, as well as new bumpers and
taillights. The famous "Rocket" V8 continued in several different
sizes and power options, with both the large 455 and 'small-block'
350 available with either 2- or 4-barrel carburetors. The 1971 Olds
engines also featured lowered compression ratios and designed to
run on regular leaded, low-lead or unleaded gasoline with a
research octane rating of 91 or higher (equivalent to 87 octane by
today's octane measurements). This example has gone through a
beautiful restoration with less than 1000 miles on the rebuilt
motor. Powering this Cutlass is the Rocket 350 form Olds with a
Comp Cam (rebuilt 4/16), paired with a th400 transmission. The
exhaust has been replaced with a full stainless-steel unit by
Magnaflow. The interior was completely redone in a gorgeous Sienna
brown and looks as fresh as from the factory. The color Root Beer
by Matrix caries some great metal flake that really shines in the
sun. This Oldsmobile comes with equipment like AM/FM radio, spare
tire in the trunk, power brakes, power steering, seat belts and
radial tires wrapped around a set of Boyd Coddington chrome wheels.
