The Aston Martin Vantage V8 Vantage was introduced at the Geneva
Motor Show in 2005. This is a pure two-seater, with a small parcel
shelf located behind the seats. It has a hatchback rear entry to
facilitate a degree of usefulness to carry home the shopping, or to
load luggage. The Vantage series cars were originally released with
a V8 engine putting out 380 horsepower at 7,300 rpm and 302 lb-ft
torque at 5,000 rpm. However, in 2009 Aston Martin unveiled the V12
Vantage in Europe and homologated the car for sale in the USA for
2011. Producing 510 horsepower and 420 lb-ft torque, the V12
Vantage can do 0-60 mph in about 4 seconds with a top speed of 190
mph. Of course, Driven's V12 Vantage has the manual gear box, and
comes in a Quantum Silver exterior with an Obsidian black leatblack
leather interior and piano black dashboard with matte finished
carbon fiber trim. Simply stunning. For entertainment during the
morning commute, there is a $7,200 Bang and Olufsen sound system to
crank out your favorite tunes. But in reality, it is the feeling of
driving this car that provides true entertainment. Press the Aston
Martin Emotion Control Unit (aka the crystal key) into the center
slot in the dash and the V12 awakens with a fantastic rumble. Pop
on your sunglasses, click it into 1st gear and drive off just like
Bond, James Bond. Give Driven a call or send an email if you are
interested in tapping into your inner secret agent with this V12
Vantage.
