1960 Toyota FJ28L Short Wheel Base Pickup. The "L" stands for left
hand drive.
It is believed that a coffee planting cooperative imported between
5 and 7 of these cars to Venezuela in 1960. Toyota Corporation had
not entered the Venezuelan market in 1960 so these cars were only
available directly from Japan.
There are only 3 of these exact cars. One of these is restored in
the Land Cruiser Heritage Museum in Utah, the second one is
unrestored in a private collection in Los Angeles, and this is the
third.
The truck was found approximately 5 years ago in a very small town
called Santa Ana in Venezuela, the car was very original when
found.
This a nut and bolt high-end restoration that required much
research to respect it's originality. This is an ultra rare vehicle
deserving of any Toyota or Japanese collection.
