1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud to
present this outstanding 1946 Willys CJ2A Jeep that has been
completely restored to WWII military livery. Post-WWII, the simple
yet iconic all-wheel drive GP, or General Purpose Vehicle, remained
in production by Willys with the model designation CJ2A. Beloved by
service men and women worldwide, the GP moniker slurred into the
word Jeep, and a brand name was born.Ours is a very early car. CJ
production started with #11825, and our car is #118218, making it
build #118 of the 71,554 ultimately manufactured. It has the proven
Go Devil 60HP L-Head 4-cylinder motor with T90 transmission. All
components are original to the car including the Dana 18 transfer
case, Dana 25 front axle, and Dana 41 rear axle. The odometer shows
only 98 miles since restoration. Early CJ features include the
lollipop style windshield adjusters and slotted wheels. Simple to
maintain, and great fun to drive, this Jeep will attract sharp
salutes and nostalgic attention wherever you drive it. It is a
really nice example.
