The 1970 Corvette actually made its formal debut in late February
with a number of improved design styling touches. Fender flares
were designed into the body contours to reduce wheel-thrown debris
damage. New were egg-crate grills with matching front fender side
vents and larger squared front directional lamps. The previously
round dual exhaust outlets were made larger and rectangular in
shape.
We have a 1970 T-Top Chevrolet Corvette with a great rare color
combination, verified by the Trim Tag with #984 Daytona Yellow
paint and #422 Green interior, here at Adventure Classics.
Engine & Drivetrain
Our 1970 is powered by a 350 cubic inch engine and back by the 4
Speed ratio transmission. The engine looks nice in the correct
shade of orange Chevrolet paint with LT1 finned aluminum valve
covers, "Rams Head" cast iron exhaust manifolds, modified ignition,
cast iron intake, air conditioning, power steering and brakes, and
runs incredibly well.
Its excellent road manners plus the 4 wheel power disc brakes make
stopping effortlessly and this Corvette a joy to drive.
Interior
Our Corvette has the rare Green interior which Chevrolet improved
upon in a number of areas. The seats underwent a design change that
adds an inch of urgently needed headroom as well as better lateral
support. The headrests are integrated into the seat design and has
a more accessible release button for the seat back hinge.
Our interior looks great with the matching green door panels, wood
steering wheel, dash with all the factory gauges and tachometer,
stereo radio system, green carpet with floor mats, and more engine
gauges and clock on top of the center factory console which houses
the chrome 4-speed shifter.
Exterior
If you want to stand out in a crowd, then the Daytona Yellow paint
on our 1970 Corvette will do it nicely. It has all the great
styling cues on a 1970 like the egg-crate patterned grille and
matching louvers along the fenders, more deeply flared wheel lips
introduced to reduce the severity of the bodyside tuck-under,
parking lights were now squared off and set into the corners of the
grille, and rectangular exhaust pipe tips recessed into the
underside of the tail, and the previously optional Soft-Ray Tinted
Glass option (RPO A01) was made standard equipment for the 1970
model year.
The Corvette rides on the factory correct 15x8 Chevrolet Corvette
Rallye Wheels with black wall tires and is an excellent driver that
can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Conclusion
The 1970 Chevrolet Corvette with that bright Daytona Yellow paint
and rare green interior we here at Adventure Classics is a very
collectible car now and in future years to come, plus you can enjoy
driving it now with the tops off for open air cruising.
