Powerful, Stately, and Magnificent...1962 Lincoln Continental in showroom condition. This vehicle was sold from a collection and put into service last year after an overhaul by Mahjor & Murray ($8k) Portland, Oregon. In addition to major tune, all fluids, hoses, and belts were replaced. The (original) brakes were overhauled, the A/C was rebuilt and updated. The engine is strong, smooth, and responsive. The transmission is terrific. All equipment functions as designed except the front passenger window has just failed, others protest some. The A/C fan is temperamental. The speed control is intact but not functional. The wipers are great but the washer missing. The leather, carpet, and dash show minor aging. The exterior could be mistaken for new. There is no known rust. This will be an incredible purchase for someone looking for a very original hardtop in close to perfect condition.
This car probably should be returned to a collection, but it runs so well it could be a daily driver. It’s too nice for me, I don’t think I can offer the love this vehicle needs, wants, and enjoys.
