Gateway classic cars of Nashville is proud to digitally present
this 1965 Dodge Coronet 500. This is a very rare car as it left the
factory as 1 of 1,169 Coronets 500 2 door hardtops built with a 426
Street wedge engine. And 1 of 729 with a 4-speed manual. Now I am
sorry to say that the 426 Wedge has long since been replaced but
what lurks under the hood now is one bad, bad boy. Just some of the
engine highlights. after a thorough wash, hot tank and magna flux
it was cut .030 over and honed, then fitted with new bearing.
PRO/TRW(R) forged Pistons with molly rings, LY rods and ARP bolts.
A high volume melling(R) oil pump to keep everything well oiled.
All the rotating assembly was balanced. The cam is from Comp
Cams(R) and has a2994-296 duration and 501-510 Lift. The heads are
Magnum heads with the larger valves, freshly rebuilt with hardened
seats. Not enough room call for more info. A freshly rebuilt A833
23 spline 4 speed transmission was mated to the power house and an
8 3/4 rear axle housing 3:91 Gear set splits the power to the rear
tire that have the duty of trying to put this torque to the
pavement! This is one clean, tight and tidy car. The interior of
this no-nonsense muscle car is Black vinyl buckets with center
console with tach and small bench in back. You know you want it,
better hurry! Options for this 1965 Coronet 500 include: Front disc
brakes because you need them, Seat belts, Racing rims and radial
tires. This 1965 Dodge can be seen in greater detail including 100+
