1951 CHEVROLET STYLELINE SPECIAL 2 DOOR C-815 This 1951 Chevrolet
Styleline Special is a two-door sedan that reportedly spent time
with two long-term owners prior to the gentleman we purchased it
from. It was told he acquired it as a rolling project with no
drivetrain in 2003. Subsequent refurbishment and modifications
included installation of a 350ci V8 and 700R4 automatic
transmission, refinishing the body with metallic blue paint and
Corvette taillights, custom interior work, a Mustang II front end
with power steering and disc brakes, and more. The previous owner
drove the car approximately 64k miles, and a partial repaint was
conducted in 2018. This custom Styleline is offered with some
service records and various documents. The Styleline platform
offered an array of configurations between 1948-1952, and this
two-door sedan was refinished in light blue metallic under previous
ownership. Modifications include shaved trim and door handles, 1958
Corvette taillights integrated into the rear fenders, and tinted
windows. Chrome Cragar 15 inch wheels wear faux spinner center caps
and 205/75 Centron radial tires. The ride height has been lowered
from stock over a Mustang II independent front end, which features
power-assisted disc brakes and rack-and-pinion steering. The solid
rear axle was sourced from a 1963 Chevrolet Nova and retains drum
brakes. A custom interior by D&J Auto Trim houses late-model GM
seats in beige leather with power-adjustment on the driver's side
and a matching bench in the rear. An aftermarket shifter with a
billet knob extends from the floor. A black Grant GT steering wheel
frames an aftermarket combination gauge and speedometer in a
painted dash that we were told is the stock color. Additional
modifications include an underslung air conditioner as well as a
tilting Buick steering column with a cruise control stalk and a
SunPro tachometer. The replacement odometer indicates 64k miles,
all of which were added by previous owner. Total chassis mileage is
unknown. The Chevrolet 350ci V8 was installed by Siebert Custom and
is paired with a 700R4 automatic transmission that replaced a
previous three-speed manual gearbox in 2010. Underhood details
include an Edelbrock intake manifold and four-barrel carburetor,
tubular headers, and Bowtie valve covers. A transmission oil cooler
is mounted ahead of the aluminum radiator. An oil change was last
performed in February 2020. Modifications and maintenance are
documented on handwritten lists and receipts. ***If you are viewing
