Mechanical

Our Mustang came with the optional C-Code 289 cubic inch V8 engine that was rated at 200 horsepower from the factory, but this car has more going for it with a larger 302 cubic inch engine that has an Edelbrock performance carburetor and aluminum intake, modified distributor, Cobra finned valve covers and open air cleaner element, air conditioning, a dual exhaust system and power steering and brakes.

This engine sits in the very clean, painted, and detailed engine compartment with additional cross members and a Monte Carlo bar that stiffens the front end, which is a must on a unibody car in chrome and with what looks to be new hoses, belts, and spark plug wires.

A smooth shifting C4 3-speed automatic transmission sends the power out back to the Ford rear end puts the power down.

Interior

The interior is in incredible shape and has bucket seats with the shifter on the floor. The seats are red vinyl with white inserts to make It really pop. The dash and door panels are matching in red and red/white with a three spoke wood steering wheel brings a rich feel inside and matched to woodgrain glove box door.

Exterior

This car will stop traffic and drop jaws with its Red paintjob. This combo is highlighted by the white top and red/white interior also.

The 15" BF Goodrich white letter tires on the factory chrome/polished Mustang hubcaps look very period correct and nice. This first-generation Mustang has the rear valance that allows the exhaust to exit through it. This was a feature limited to the Mustang GT, but it has been added to this car to give it a bit more muscle car feel.
