Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer this 1998 Toyota
Celica GT Convertible. The Toyota Celica was produced from 1970 to
2006. The Celica name derives from the Latin word coeliac meaning
"heavenly" or "celestial". The Sixth generation Celica GT was
powered by the 1ZZ-FE rated at 140 hp at 6,400 rpm and 125 lb. ft.
of torque at 4,200 rpm. It uses Toyota's VVT-i (Variable Valve
Timing with intelligence) system which modulated the intake cam
phase angle to increase torque and horsepower throughout the rev
range. This is a similar engine used on the Matrix, Corolla, and
MR2 Spyder. Transmission choices comprised a five-speed manual or
four-speed automatic. The GT has standard front disc brakes and
rear drum brakes, 195/60/15 with standard wheel covers or optional
alloy wheels. This Celica is finished in red with a clean gray
cloth interior. The original family drop-top is equipped with an
automatic transmission, power windows, and other power options. The
Toyota Celica is climbing in popularity aligning with other
Japanese classics. This 1996 Toyota Celica GT Convertible can be
