not a clone. Originally an option package for the Pontiac Tempest
in 1964 and 1965, the GTO became its own model from 1966-1971. The
Pontiac GTO was named Motor Trend's car of the year in 1968, and
the 1969 carried over the attributes that helped it win the award
in 1968. Pop the hood, and you'll find its 400 CID V8, topped by a
4BBL carb, and has plenty of room to work on the big block. Cast
iron exhaust manifolds extract the exhaust gases into the dual
exhaust, giving this Goat its vintage rumble. Power is sent to its
3.36:1 rear axle via a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. This
'69 runs and drives like a true vintage muscle car should. The
interior of this GTO is no different than the rest of the car, in
that it is super clean. The dash is in great shape, as is the
carpet and all the vinyl seating and trim. The only noticeable
difference versus its original interior is the addition of the
Bosch 3-gauge cluster to help the driver keep tabs on the
temperature, oil pressure, and volts...Plus, the A/C has been
updated with a Classic Auto Aire R134a system, which makes this GTO
a true all season ride! This car is the essence of what muscle cars
