'O Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz....' That lyric by Janice
will forever be part of our '60's lore. This fully restored 380SL
roadster would have fit the bill to a tee, albeit a few years late.
It is a classic sports car with a luxury tradition. Nothing says
'sports car' like bright red, and the distinctive 2-stage Signal
Red, code 568, respray (1996) on our 380SL has a fine luster. The
original Palomino leather interior with walnut accents is in
excellent shape, as is the manually operated soft top. If you don't
like soft tops, bolt on the hardtop (w/stand) for a completely
different look and feel. Finally, distinctive 15" chromed alloy
wheels from the 560SL series complete the exterior package.
Convenience features include: air conditioning, factory Becker
premium AM/FM/CD sound system, power windows, cruise control and
power locks. For smooth power, the factory 3.8-liter SOHC V-8
engine w/Bosch Jetronic injection produces 218 BHP and 224 lb/ft of
torque that is delivered through a four-speed automatic/OD gearbox.
Our Mercedes has recently received a full service checkup - new
injectors and exhaust system were installed. Every 380SL is
equipped with power steering, independent semi-trailing rear
suspension and ABS 4-wheel power disc brakes w/vented front rotors
(11/10.9"). Our current owner has nurtured this Mercedes for 23
years and the stylish ride should sell quickly. ALL VEHICLES SOLD
"AS IS".
