Dodge was the go-to company for the Army?s half-ton to one-ton
four-wheel-drive trucks in the World War II era. Beginning with the
1940 VC-series trucks, which were essentially ruggedized half-ton
civilian trucks in four-wheel drive, Dodge further refined the type
with the first WC-series trucks in 1941. With the U.S. entry into
World War II, the WCs needed further refinement and to be heavier
duty. Part of the appeal of the command car is that they were
usually issued to higher-ranking officers, generally colonels and
above. Everyone wants to be a general, not a private. This 1942
Dodge WC-56 Commander has been fully restored to excellent
condition. More info coming... www.kuyothbody.com Email
