Vehicle Description
Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this sharp 1980
Volkswagen Buggy. This car is titled as a 1980 Homemade Buggy. It
screams 1980's with the custom paint theme that was done by Dunn
Auto Graphics and features airbrushed Buggy Murals on the wing and
graphics. The paint flows well with the chrome fenders, 15" offset
chrome Centerline wheels, chrome bumper, chrome fuel tank, and the
custom graphics. This buggy does come with the missing fender, the
bracket that held it broke. The interior was custom and done by
Jasper Upholstery. It features two cloth seats with seat belts and
yellow vinyl inserts, a sprint Buggy steering wheel, Hurst shifter,
and yellow/white inserts on the side panels. Additional interior
features would include the roll cage, windshield wipers, hydraulic
gas petal system, and even a cup holder. Powering this cool little
Buggy is a 1600cc Dual Port H4 cylinder engine that was done by
Auto Croft and mated to a 4-speed manual transmission out of a
Volkswagen Bus. The drivetrain is believed to have about 4,200
miles driven on it since being rebuilt. This buggy also has disc
brakes, a transaxle, and upgraded suspension. If you are looking
for something to zip around in or even want something that could be
taken to shows, this is the Buggy for you! This 1980 Volkswagen
Buggy is for sale by our Tampa Showroom and can be viewed in
