Vehicle Description
The body is an original steel 1931 Model A Tudor Sedan, it has been
chopped 5" and channeled 3" the taillights are made from genuine
Model A pistons and 'frenched in' to the body. The lenses are LED
and very bright. The windshield frame was chopped and custom glass
(DOT spec windshield glass) was installed. The visor was die cut
and dimpled, then added to the body. The wood frame kit is new,
stained to match the patina of the car. This 31 Ford is brand-new
hot rod with an 'old looking' body on it, that is exactly what the
seller had built. Steve Lott of Renegades and Relics Rod Shop spent
over a year creating this masterpiece, his talent and vision makes
him one of the country's top rod builders. The frame is a custom,
hand built, boxed steel Z frame with custom from end. It is coated
under the body to inhibit rust and the front is painted with
special 'gold and silver' glitter paint, then clear coated. It is,
by far, the most rigid and stout frame I've ever seen on a hot rod
and I asked him to build it this way...The owner wanted a car that
could be driven, not putter along to local car shows and leave it
in the garage. The suspension on this car is all brand new; 4 link
set up in the back, along with air bags, make this a very
comfortable ride. The leaf springs and shocks up front keep the car
pointed straight over bumps and potholes, even at speed. Brakes are
disc brakes at all corners, with a Wilwood 2-way adjustable master
cylinder and brake pedal assembly. The lines are all brand new, the
fittings are all brand new, the car stops on a dime very easily.
Wheels are brand new Ridler 650s, 20s in the rear and 18s up front,
wrapped in brand new Nitto 555 G2 tires. All this comes together to
create a fantastic driving machine; at 95 mph all you need is two
fingers on the steering wheel. The electrical is all brand new,
fabricated by two master electricians and run through the frame and
body as discreetly as possible. The headlights are sourced from a
1912 Packard - they have been gutted and retrofitted with brand new
halogen fittings and bulbs; they're very bright at night. The turn
signals and daylight running lights are LED. The motor is a Chevy
350 SBC with Vortec heads, the engine and heads were completely
rebuilt during the build and has recently received its first oil
change... the oil was meticulously examined, and zero trouble
indicators were found. The transmission is a 700R4, it was pulled
apart and inspected and found that no rebuild was necessary, so it
just received new fluid and gaskets. Both the motor and
transmission function flawlessly and without issue. The interior is
all hand fabricated from steel, once it was complete, they painted
the entire body - inside and out - and spent almost a month adding
the patina and 'old look' to it. The seats are very comfortable;
with PLENTY of leg and height room. This build was a work of love
and it shows in the details. The finished product is an absolute
showstopper, it gets attention from everyone; old, young, men and
women. With less than 300 miles on this build, it is a brand new,
unique ride just waiting for a new owner. For more information on
