For Sale: 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS in Rochester, Minnesota

Vehicle Description

You are looking at a time capsule. Unreal like new condition everywhere you look. Everything works like a new car yet. Car starts, runs drives, stops, sounds ,looks great!! Paint is 12 yrs old but very nice smooth. The car is a legit one owner ,well kept piece of Americana. Seller bought the car right off the showroom floor in Prairie Du Chien, WI at 8:30 pm Nov 17,1970 . I have original build sheet , warranty cards, service records, sale invoice (4601.05) out the door in the file . Huebsch Chevrolet later sent this new Chevelle SS convertible buyer received a letter dated Nov 18,1970 about the caution that needs to be used driving a car with an engine producing 350 hp. The letter was read 8:30pm Nov 18,1970. (marked on envelope) haha. I do have copies of build sheet back in the car where they were found behind the back seat. We also have pics in file where build sheet was found after GM assembly line worker stuffed in behind springs in rear seat back. Anyway, car matches 100% including wheels and tires. I may opt for a set of American Torque Thrusts and fatties on the rear and skinnies up front for a bit of local cruising for myself. Owners manual in glove box. Car has correct freshened 396 CID 4V ,last 6 digits of vin. on block . Car has correct Quadra jet with factory cowl induction flipper hood. All working great. Car has correct freshened M-21 4 speed and freshened 12 bolt 3.31 True Trac rear with front n rear stabilizer bars and new springs. Car drives very nice and could use some lowering . (in my mind) Car has correct red paint , correct black stripe and dealer added luggage rack. Car really looks great with rack!! Ive owned many Chevelles. First one with luggage rack. New  mellow mufflers were added and tail pipes shortened. Factory stainless tips were moved in at least 4-6 inches. You will notice in las two pics. It appears the car has original white convertible top. Still in very good condition for its age with very small blemishes. Power top ,latches work good. All tinted glass lines up nice and windows crank up and down very easy. Doors open and shut ,line up great. Car has been a rust free car its entire life. Always babied by same owner and never driven in winter. This car will stay in my garage until Im sick of cruising it!! (never) Car will not be cheap if sold. I am putting in my inventory line to be covered by my insurance plan. This is one of those cars too good to be true!! Its true bc its sitting in my garage!!    ...Less
