Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia is presenting a 1979 Chevrolet
Camaro Z28. Since the Camaro first hit the street the Z28 Badge has
stood for performance. You knew that with a Z28 you were getting
the best that Chevrolet had to offer in a Camaro. This 1979 Z28 has
benefited from a complete concourse restoration completed in 2004.
Milage since the restoration is 8,513. The first thing that catches
your eye with this Z28 is the color. The light green exterior and
dark green vinyl interior is probably the rarest of color
combinations for this car. The restoration took this car back to
factory specs except for the engine. It was replaced with a new
Chevrolet crate engine, 350CI, 4 Barrel, rated at 285 HP. The
transmission is a 4 speed manual. This Z28 is equipped with AM
radio, power steering and brakes, tilt wheel, aluminum alloy wheels
and posi traction rear. This Camaro is also equipped with air
conditioning, it could use a charge, but it does cycle. This Z28 is
in excellent condition. The paint and the vinyl graphics do not
show their age. The interior, dash seats and carpet are all in
excellent condition and still appear fresh from the restoration.
The engine comes to life with ease and produces a nice sound that
inspires acceleration. It has that 70s Muscle feel to it. To view
