1957 Chevrolet school bus is something you definitely don't see
every day! 454V8, TH400 transmission, power brakes!
BODY OVERVIEW: Having seen a restoration, unlike so many heavy duty
vehicles of this era, the body is straight and solid. It's
seriously clean!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This bus is yellow, but certainly not
school bus yellow! The paint is a very gentle, light yellow that
adds quite a bit of personality to this old bus. The white painted
accents really make it pop! The paint is in good condition.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: There isn't much as far as seating
goes, but the driver's seat is in nice condition. The plaid couch
is our favorite addition, and would be great for passengers in a
low-speed scenario such as a parade! Without all those pesky seats
for passengers, the possibilities for this bus are endless.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a 454V8 mated to a TH400
automatic transmission, meaning this bus will respond more like a
vehicle from the 70s than from the 50s. It runs and sounds great,
and while there is no power steering, that authenticates the "old
school bus" experience that much more!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: It's a vintage school bus, you
can't help but love it!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you're looking for a family
cruiser that's easy to park, drive, and maneuver this probably
isn't it. She likes wide open spaces!
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? This bus needs a few tweaks, including the
fuel gauge, horn, headlights, and brake lights.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? This bus is probably best
suited for parade, show, or display use in its current condition.
However, if you're looking for a good base to build a killer, super
unique camping vehicle out of or something along those lines, this
would be a great candidate!
