With only 4,100 produced and only sold in two California markets initially making this is an incredibly rare find in such amazing condition. Mustang was Ford's most successful launch since the Model A. This iconic machine essentially created the term Pony Car and has been influencing the sports car market ever since its birth. It was only anticipated that Ford would sell less than 100,000 Mustangs upon its arrival into the automotive world. They outdid those projections by just a few, to say the least. Producing over 1 million Mustangs in the first 18 months of its production due to the enormous demand. Shelby American had a hand in designing the GT/ CS, an appearance package that included stripes, badging, and a host fiberglass add-on parts that gave the model a very Shelby-like and aggressive look: a decklid with integrated spoiler and quarter-panel extensions to match; non-functional body-side scoops; and a lower back panel. Standard Mustang taillamps were ditched in favor of horizontal units from the '65 Thunderbird. If that back end looks familiar, it's probably because you've got a '68 Shelby Mustang convertible tail in your mind. This Mustang GT/CS is gorgeous in Black and is complimented with the original Black vinyl top. The inside is nice with the vinyl interior, Black bucket seats, and a floor shifter which sets off this Mustang perfectly. Not to mention the super-rare original overhead console in simulated woodgrain. This gorgeous Mustang GT/ CS has more than enough power to get you moving down your favorite road. It is equipped with the original drivetrain including the 289 Cubic Inch V8 that has only 56,237 original miles. The engine provides a very satisfying rumble as soon as you start this pristine GT/ CS. This potent V8 is mated to a C-4 3 Speed automatic transmission that effortlessly shifts through gears.
