When you run into something this unique and affordable, your
imagination starts to go into overdrive. This 1981 Austin Mini
Truck combines the iconic classic look we all love with some added
pickup practicality. So it seems like the perfect vehicle to do
everything from be the support truck for you British exotic to just
being a fun presentation all on its own.
If you're British, then this is a pure nostalgia machine (and if
you're not this is just a very cool presentation.) It's the
original Mini look, and so that front end is iconic. But the rear
is a useful truck bed. So we know you already love the distinction
this one brings. These little guys are not exactly ready for farm
chores, but it would be a pretty cool to make urban deliveries. And
the current condition has it ready to earn its keep. So those broad
and clean sides are just ready for you company's logo (or maybe you
just want to make one up.) More than just a practical side, this
one has some style. The green paint is handsome with the white
roof. It's done to be a performance-style Cooper machine with wider
wheels, fender flares, and the white stripes on the hood (bonnet).
And there are some nice details, like the clear headlights,
upgraded grille, and fasteners for a tonneau.
There's a bit more Cooper attitude inside with the dual racing
bucket seats. This is right-hand drive machine for that added dose
of British charm. Of course, when a classic is this small, it
almost doesn't matter which side you drive it from. The controls
are laid out nicely for driving with a grippy three-spoke steering
wheel, a gearshift that's always in easy reach, and a cool Smiths
gauge package with large central speedo.
Under the hood is a correct 998cc motor. This A-Series engine is a
well-known and widely used powerplant that found a home in plenty
of British vehicles. It's part of the backbone of English motoring,
which makes it quite hardy and easy parts availability. When
matched with the four-speed manual transmission, the performance
can be quite nippy. Add in power front disc brakes and steering
that is so exact it feels telepathic, and you've got in your hands
all the reasons why people are passionate about driving - even in a
pickup!
It's a rarity to see a Mini pickup in the USA. So at this price,
you know you have to act quickly to take home the coolest little
truck around. Call today!!!
