One glance at the new Corvette tells you that it is faster and
sportier than its predecessors. And when you drive a Corvette Sting
Ray, either the convertible or the fastback Sport Coupe, you find
that the excitement is far more than skin deep. - October 1962
Issue of Car and Driver
This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible featured is finished in
Rally Red exterior with a black interior and coordinating white
convertible top. Although it appears this car was originally Saddle
Tan with a Saddle interior how can you complain with this classic
color combination it shows now.
Based-on records and previous owners this car was painted prior to
the early 80's. The paint continues to have great color although
there are a few thin spots where you can see the primer starting to
show through. The black interior shows well without any areas of
excessive wear. The white convertible top is in good condition and
has a clear rear window.
Although not the original 327 cubic inch motor this car runs great
and shifts through the 4-speed transmission with ease. The frame on
this Corvette is very solid which could attest to the uniform body
lines.
This is a great opportunity to get into the first year of the
sought-after C-2 Corvettes.
